CAPEL SKATEPARK COMPETITION – ROUND 8 FREESTYLE NOW WESTERN AUSTRALIAN SKATEPARK COMPETITION SERIES

Round 8 of the Freestyle Now Western Australian Skatepark Series took place as part of the Captive Capel festival at the Capel skatepark. It is great to see competitors travelling to attend the competitions as well as new riders entering the competitions for the first time. You never forget your first competition and we hope to offer them memories to lots of riders over the years. When Freestyle Now hosts a skatepark competition there are three classes for competitors to enter, beginners (younger and still learning), intermediates (competitors with some good skills) and the open class (consistent and dials tricks) in the three disciplines scooter, skateboard and bmx. There is also a girl’s class to help encourage more girls to enter. We would like to thank the Shire of Capel and our supporters, Colony bmx, Sacrifice scooters, 4 skateboard Co . Round 9 of the 2017 series takes place at the Rockingham skatepark on the 13^th of May. Clockwise from top left – Andras Lainvoole has been in Australia for a few months from his home country of Estonia. His riding is really good and it has been rad having him attend some of the skatepark competitions. Rad look back over the hip at Capel skatepark – Ben Gately is one of the raddest bmx riders to come out of the south west in a long time. It’s a pleasure to watch him ride, he is so smooth. 2^nd place in BMX open – Ethan Rowland took out 1^st place in the skateboard beginners – Talyn Galic took out another win in scooter intermediate.
