Freestyle Now reserves squad member Laurence Bakewell has recently been over in Melbourne to session some of the skateparks and get some new tricks on lock in preparation for the Mandurah Action Sports Games this weekend. He sent in these few video grabs from some of the things he was working on.
“Hey guys! Laurence hear just checking in keeping y’all up to date with my antics. So for the past week Bradley South, Jacob DeAbreu and myself have been riding around Melbourne. The trip started off pretty slow with delayed planes and expensive cab rides but that soon changed as soon as we got our bikes together. We set off into the big city and had a roll around checking everything out, there’s no better feeling then just getting on your bike in a new city and just rolling around and soaking it all in. After a bit of sightseeing we headed out to ride Rampfest indoor skatepark!! We rode for probably close to 8 hours straight that first day and by the end of it we were well and truly exhausted!! After a well earned rest we were right back into it the next morning, and headed out the shed skatepark in Cranbourne. We rode ourselves into the ground yet again and again waking up the next day battered and bruised but we didn’t let that deter us from getting up and doing the same thing all over again. That was basically how our days in Melbourne went! It was such an awesome week and a great experience!!! See you at the Mandurah Action Sports Games this weekend.”
