Dylan on the east coast

Last month squad member Dylan Schmidt went on an east coast journey with a few mates. His original plan was to hit up a comp in Melbourne on the day he arrived, hang out at Ramfest, learn new tricks and then travel to Sydney for a big contest. From the start things seemed to go downhill with their plans. First the flight to Melbourne was delayed by 2 hours which meant that they would arrive in Melbourne too late to make it to the contest at Deer Park skatepark, and then while in Melbourne the news came through that the big contest in Sydney was canceled. Dylan and crew did not let that entire disappointing info throw out their plans and instead made the most of their time to travel around and explore some of the great skateparks that are in the Melbourne and Sydney areas.  Dylan sent through some photos from his journey.

Deer park in Melbourne this was one of the first skateparks that I rode whilst in Melbourne. I was meant to enter the comp on the arrival day in Melbourne but our flights got delayed and check in times where messed so we ended up riding this fun little park during our stay.

Jake Greaves and me chillin

Knox skatepark in Melbourne is one of the best and most fun things I’ve rode in a long time. At one end of the skatepark it has a fun street section and on the other side it has a full bowl.

Bondi skatepark in Sydney is amazing. For the skaters the main attraction is the famous over vert bowl where all the 80’s skaters chill and hang out. I love this skatepark, it’s got heaps of flow and just love the entertainment that’s happening all around you whilst riding. The crowd is pretty sick there, it’s like doing a demo. Everyone just stops and watches and claps it’s awesome!

Dylan would like to thank Freestyle Now, Airwalk, Royal BMX and John at Pilgrim for the support!
