” yo yo. On Saturday I headed to the Corymbia Festival for some bmx stunt shows with Freestyle Now. It was a dope day with bangers getting thrown around everywhere. Silly of me I tried a front flip at the end of the day, without any energy and landed flat on my back leaving me winded and walking away with a limp, you know the saying “commit or eat it” after a long day of entertaining the locals it was pack up time.

Then came Sunday, waking up with a killer headache. So a lot of painkillers got drilled into my system and hit the road to the Mandurah Action Sport games. Arrived to the location and saw an awesome set up, with a mini ramp in the background of the skatepark. It was dope. Entered myself in expert/pro mini and park. Park was up first. Whilst warming up I was sorting my run out in my head and thought it would be good first thing  to pedal as fast as I could at the big hip and throw a huge tail whip over it. landing pretty rough but still rode away unharmed. After landing with all that speed I forgot about the rest of my run, so I made it up as I went. I was stoked to make finals. Qualified 2nd. It was a battle format. Rider after rider got knocked out and it came up to me and Warren Bowers. Stuffed up my run real bad making a few errors which left the gate open for Wazza. Ended up taking 3rd place in park.

A hour or so later it was mini ramp time. I couldn’t wait for this. Run by run riders were getting knocked out of the competition. The crowd was awesome. Clapping every time someone did and banger. My runs turned out alright until the last one when I got beaten. I tried throwing some new tricks which in the end was a bad idea as I should have kept to the tricks I knew I could do and had on lock. But still the day went on and walked away with 4th place in mini, a bit of cashola in my pocket  and a cute medallion
hanging in between shoulders. Was an awesome day! Can’t wait till the Joondalup Huck Fest which is in 2 weeks. Now that’s where everyone has to be!
ill keep you updated during the month and let you know how I live the life of a BMXer.

KEEP SHREDDIN…. ”
