EYRES Mandurah Action Sports Games – Skateboard

Blue skies smilin’ at me, nothin’ but blue skies do I see, and so sung Willie Nelson. He could have been singing about the EYRES Mandurah Action Sports Games skateboard competition on March 18th as there was nothing but blue skies all around. Not only was there blue skies but there was a lot of maple on 4 wheels. The skateboard competition had a total prize purse of $10000 and many skaters turned up to chase some of that cash. The park competition was going to be tight with so many good skaters all on the same level but after the finals were done it was Alex Campbell who took the win and $2000 with difficult but consistent runs. The Halfpipe comp was on another level as all eyes were on Joe Flemming who was the favorite to take the win, and not to disappoint anyone Joe destroyed the ramp and the win was his. There were 16 other challengers though and the halfpipe jam took some time to get through but Paul Bruno and Pasquale Iovine kept on the game to take the 2nd and 3rd. A big thanks to EYRES for their major contribution as well as Modus for flowing their support.
