Golden Bay skatepark competition – Round 9 Freestyle Now Western Australian Skatepark Series

Golden Bay skatepark hosted round 9 of the Freestyle Now Western Australian Skatepark Series. This was the last competition in the City of Rockingham skatepark series where the winners in each of the advanced classes receive an invite to a special invite only competition that will take place in early July. There was a good mix of skatepark users throwing down some good skills. The competition was held midweek during the school holidays so the turnout was a bit on the light side but gave the younger competitors a good opportunity. Lots of thanks to the City of Rockingham and Natasha for all her continual work with the youth of the area. Also to our supporters Stowaway distribution, Sacrifice scooters and 4 skateboard Co for the support with prizes.

Clockwise from top left – Brad South took the win in bmx advanced, jam to fakie – Jake Beazley had some really good flow around the park and took the win in skateboard advanced – Ethan McKenzie surprised himself and others with his win in scooter advanced but being very consistent helps – Louis Johnstone boosting a 360 tailwhip.
