Cowaramup Skatepark Competition – Round 14 Freestyle Now Western Australian Skatepark Competition Series

twitterlinkedinmail

Round 14 of the Freestyle Now Western Australian Skatepark Series took place at the Cowaramup skatepark. This was the first time Freestyle Now had hosted a competition in cow-town. What a cracker of a day it was. With 61 competitors and a good mix of competitors in all 3 disciplines the afternoon was set to be nothing but radness. It was great to see so many spectators watching and showing support to the competitors. Cowaramup is only a few minutes north of Margaret River and had a great skatepark with a good spine separating two open bowls. A few competitors traveled down from Perth to compete, it’s good to see they are following the series around. There were also a few competitors from other south west town who also came to compete. Seeing familiar faces is always good as well as new faces who were there to roll out the rad. At all of the Freestyle Now skatepark competitions there are three classes for competitors to enter, beginners (younger and still learning), intermediates (competitors with some good skills) and the open class (consistent and dials tricks) in the three disciplines scooter, skateboard and bmx. There is also a girls class to help encourage more girls to enter. A big thank you to all the competitors who rolled out the rad at the Cowaramup skatepark competition. We would like to thank the Shire of Augusta Margaret River and the Margaret River YAC as well as our supporters, Colony bmxSacrifice scooters and 4 skateboard Co
Round 15 takes place at the Boyanup bowl on the 24th September. Round 16 will be at the Willetton skatepark on the 30th September with round 17 at the Golden Bay skatepark on the 22nd October. Be sure to check our coming events page for all the latest information.
