Freestyle Now, Australia’s premier BMX stunt show team, was once again invited to perform for South32’s 40th-year celebrations, this time in Boddington. After an epic show in Bunbury, we were pumped to bring the excitement to another South32 event, delivering high-flying action and unforgettable moments to employees and their families. The Freestyle Now squad for this special occasion featured seasoned professionals Andrew Ahumada, Luke Tooze, and Shaun Jarvis, alongside young talent Oskar Thomas, who continues to impress with his growing skills. The team put on a thrilling display, launching into the air with gravity-defying stunts, showcasing their precision, skill, and fearless commitment to BMX.
Andrew Ahumada throws down a crazy backflip tailwhip for the crowds at Boddington
One of the standout moments of the show was the incredible synchronized double routine from Luke Tooze and Andrew Ahumada. As the crowd watched in amazement, Luke sent a massive backflip while Andrew executed a perfectly timed front flip—both side by side in perfect sync. This jaw-dropping stunt had the audience on their feet, showing just how much skill and trust these riders have in each other. A huge highlight of the event was young Oskar Thomas stepping up his game in a big way. Pushing his progression, he sent his first-ever backflip on the big ramp setup, showing that his dedication and determination are paying off. The crowd went wild as Oskar stuck the landing, marking a huge milestone in his BMX journey. With a fantastic setup and a hyped-up crowd, the energy was electric. The audience cheered on as Andrew Ahumada threw down his signature tricks, Luke Tooze brought his technical riding and massive air, and Shaun Jarvis blended classic BMX skills with top-tier showmanship.
