Freestyle Now, Australia’s premier BMX stunt show team, made a spectacular appearance at the Brunswick Agricultural Show, bringing high-energy entertainment to an enthusiastic crowd. The day started and finished with perfect sunny clear conditions which is an ideal setting for an unforgettable day of BMX action. Midway through the day a big bush fire was happening not far from Brunswick which changed the clear skies to an amber backdrop. Thankfully the fire was put out and the clear skies returned.
Australian BMX champion Sam Grace sends the crazy chliffhanger backflip during one of the afternnon shows
The stellar rider lineup featured Andrew Ahumada, Sam Grace, Luke Tooze, and Freestyle Now co-founder Shaun Jarvis on the mic. Shaun kept the crowd hyped throughout the performances with his expert commentary and contagious enthusiasm which can only come from years of experience, setting the tone for an exciting show. Andrew Ahumada and Luke Tooze delivered jaw-dropping stunts, thrilling the audience with their skill and creativity putting together some radical double routines. One of the standout moments of the day was their synchronized double run with what we have called the cancel out. With both riders side by side, Andrew threw down a massive front flip at the exact same time as Luke nailed a backflip. It was a perfectly timed display of teamwork and precision that left the crowd cheering for more! Sam Grace never disappoints with what he brings to a show with tricks like 720 downwhips, cliff hanger backflips and sending 1080’s, that three spins in the air. The audience’s energy and enthusiasm added to the fantastic atmosphere, with families and fans of all ages coming together to enjoy the spectacle. The Brunswick Agricultural Show once again proved to be the perfect stage for Freestyle Now to showcase why they’re one of Australia’s premier BMX stunt show teams.
During one of the poster signings a dad had come up with their young 5 years old son. The son was super happy to get a free poster and have it signed. Shaun and the dad struck up a conversation about the show and BMX. It turns out that 30 years before when the dad was 5 years old he too was at the Brunswick show and got to watch Shaun perform BMX shows. Another amazing part of our history, parents who have seen the show when they were kids bringing their kids to shows.
