Mandurah Skatepark came alive with action for the 4th and final qualifying round of the South Metro Ride and Roll Series, setting the stage for the highly anticipated finals at Spearwood Skatepark. With support from the City of Mandurah, the competition brought together scooter, skateboard, and BMX riders of all skill levels for an unforgettable day of progression, fierce battles, and epic tricks.

The scooter division was full of energy, and the beginner class did not disappoint. Braydon Ford rode with confidence and precision to secure 1st place, with Lucas Walker in 2nd and Brock Look finishing 3rd. In the intermediate division, Judd Morrison dominated the competition to take 1st, with Rhyder Howard in 2nd and Noah Ladhams landing in 3rd. The open scooter division featured an electrifying showdown, with Rufus Macfarlane-Brewer riding strong for 1st place. Rory Allison put on a great performance to secure 2nd, and Dylan Mestrovich rounded out 3rd. This competition saw a lot of large, overhead tricks from the competitors and it was a very fun one to watch and judge. Every rider brought their best, showing the depth of talent and passion in the scooter community.

The skateboarders kept the momentum going with solid performances across both divisions. In the beginner class, Davie Howe impressed the judges with his smooth lines and expert use of the park, claiming 1st place. Scarlett Harrington showed impressive skill to land in 2nd, while Willow Wiseman earned a well-deserved 3rd place. It was great to see so much talent from young skaters. In the intermediate division, Tayah Payne’s performance secured 1st place, followed by Madison Brown in 2nd, great to see Maddison attending more competitions and putting her skills on display. Oliver Brown just missed 2nd and ended up in 3rd with an awesome run and great use of the bowl. Between 1st and 3rd there was only 0.67 points, making it an extremely close competition.

Intermediate rider Charlie Hill’s progression stood out as he earned 2nd place, with Jacob Roughton riding into 1st and Ashton Burton finishing 3rd. The open BMX division had no shortage of intense moments, with Oskar Thomas taking the top spot, while Geraldton brothers, Koutaro and Jay Furukawa battled it out for 2nd and 3rd respectively, The brothers can’t make it to every competition but when they do travel down, it adds an extra level of rad to our action packed day.

With an amazing vibe from the Mandurah community and the weather, the conditions were perfect for a fun packed competition day on the Mandurah foreshore. A massive thank you to the City of Mandurah, City of Kwinana, City of Cockburn and City of Rockingham for supporting the South Metro Ride and Roll Series and making the 4th round a success.
