Freestyle Now bmx stunt shows – Perth Super Sprint series

twitterlinkedinmail

Freestyle Now recently performed bmx stunt shows at the Perth Super Sprint series at Barbagallo raceway.

David Pinelli always goes large just like this 360 no hander

It was a two day event with stunt shows taking place on Saturday and Sunday. It was an awesome set up with a great location for Freestyle Now to set up on and right next to the race track. Freestyle Now squad members Shaun Jarvis, Dylan Schmidt and David Pinelli along with new recruits squad member Taj Hamilton invited bmx radster Josh Garwood to join in to help roll out the rad. The Saturday was a nice fine day with the sun shining brightly with the crowds were loving it and getting into the bmx stunt shows with great crowd interaction. Come Sunday the rain came down which was not ordered and affected the first show in the morning but in true Freestyle Now form we got the rest of the shows completed between some rain and getting the show area dried up. Freestyle Now performed some radical bmx stunt shows at the Barbagallo raceway and the crowds were loving it. Be sure to check out our coming events page to see where and when Freestyle now will be rolling out the rad next. Please give Freestyle Now a contact if you would like this type of entertainment at your next event.

Clockwise from top left – Taj Hamilton is our newest recruits rider and he was defiantly proving his radness with this nac nac – Josh Garwood boosted the jump box higher than anyone ever has, too the moon – No hands required from Shaun Jarvis and Dylan Schmidt – David Pinelli getting it sideways and making sure his seat is not coming off.

Dylan Schmidt is really good at superman tailwhips and he did not disappoint at the Perth super sprint series with this rad example.

Welcome to the Freestyle now recruits squad – Ethan Rowland

twitterlinkedinmail

Freestyle Now would like to welcome young Ethan Rowland onto the Freestyle Now recruits squad. 12 ½ year old Ethan has been riding scooters for about 3 years and is a total shredder. Last year Ethan took the 1st place in the Freestyle Now Western Australian Skatepark Series in the intermediate class and made to move to the open class for 2018. He is currently sitting at the top of the point’s ladder in the open class for the 2018 series. Freestyle Now has been rolling out the rad since 1986 and started out with only 3 squad members and over the last 32 years many people have come and gone but one thing has always remained and that is the need for our squad members to always be wanting to roll out the rad. Be sure to check Ethan’s profile out on our recruits squad page here. Welcome to the recruits Ethan.

The Freestyle Now recruits squad is designed to teach young radsters about how a sponsorship works. So many young shredders say they want to be sponsored but none really understand what then means. Sponsorship is a two way deal, the rider promotes the brand, and the brand helps the rider. Too many young guns think that they just get product and that’s it, they don’t understand how the sponsorship treadmill works. For Freestyle Now, the recruit’s squad is the chance to help out young shredders but also to help them educate others what sponsorship is all about. Every young radster must start somewhere. The recruits is just that place. Younger shredders who show the potential to roll out the rad, being inclusive, show the potential to be good role models and the ability to progress up the ladder of radness, one day could become a full Freestyle Now squad member

Welcome new recruits squad member – Karee Furneyvall

twitterlinkedinmail

Freestyle Now would like to welcome to the squad new recruits scooter rider Karee Furneyvall. Karee is the first female to join the Freestyle Now squad in its 30 years history. Karee has been scooter riding for a while now and its only in the last year that she has really been getting out to comps and getting seen. When we first met Karee we knew straight away that she would make a great addition to our squad. Karee is polite and well mannered and caries herself well when around others which is one of the most important things when gaining sponsorship. Karee also had some rad scooter skills as well. Karee has also recently got sponsored by Sacrifice Scooters as well. Back in April Karee attend the Australian Scooter titles in Melbourne where she took out a 6th place. It is great that more females are getting into action sports and we are hoping that Karee will help to show that girls can participate at skateparks and roll out the rad. Please check out Karee Furneyvall’s profile for more information on our newest recruit squad member.

CJ Martinez – video – Freestyle Now recruits squad member

twitterlinkedinmail

CJ Martinez has been on the Freestyle Now recruits squad for almost a year. The young 12 year old knows how to skate and skate well. On a recent outing we managed to get some clips of CJ rolling out the rad with his style. Not really being a rail skater it was great to capture his first down rail on video. Bowls and vert are his favorite terrain to skate and we will have some more videos of this epic young shredder soon. Expect to see some more of CJ as he grows into his skating.

CJ has got some rad skills like this handplant on the spine at Kwinana.

Welcome new Freestyle Now recruits squad member – CJ Martinez

twitterlinkedinmail

Freestyle Now is pleased to announce its newest recruits squad member CJ Martinez. CJ who is only 11 years old first came to the attention of Freestyle Now when he attended a few skatepark competitions last year. His shear rawness on a skateboard showed much potential for his progression. Over the last year or so CJ has progressed and he can only keep on flowing as he gets older and gets more power behind him. CJ likes to skate open transitions and flowing around a skatepark as opposed to jibbin and skating ledges.

Freestyle Now new recruits squad member – Jack Carwardine

twitterlinkedinmail

Freestyle Now would like to welcome new recruits squad member Jack Carwardine. Freestyle Now has introduced a new programme to help the younger crew come up the ranks and help them understand what sponsorship is all about. Every young radster must start somewhere and that is what The Recruits is all about. Younger shredders who show the potential to roll out the rad, being inclusive, show the potential to be good role models and the ability to progress up the ladder of radness, one day could become a full Freestyle Now squad member. Jack Carwardine will be promoting Freestyle Now to the masses and in turn Freestyle Now will be helping Jack understand how a sponsorship works.

Jack has been involved in competing in many of the Freestyle Now skatepark competitions over the past few years as well as attending many of the Freestyle Now skatepark workshop session. This has been a great platform for Freestyle Now to get to know Jack and see how he interacts with others and get to know him. Freestyle Now gets lots of videos and contacts on “can you sponsor me”. Videos only show the persons riding and not their character or persona, this is something that is just as important as the skills ability
