Good guy and great skater Callum McCauley was at the Wagin Wool-a-Rama as guest skater when the Freestyle Now squad was there for a series of coaching workshops and stunt shows. In between laying down some sweet skating Callum took some video footage and pieced it together in this below edit. Featuring Freestyle Now squad members Shaun Jarvis, Kie Ashworth and Tim Rose. Wagin is about 240kms south east from Perth. Each year for the past 40 years the Wagin Wool-o-Rama has taken place. It is now one of the biggest agricultural shows in Western Australia. The Shire of Wagin recently built its own skatepark within the showgrounds. Instead of getting a skatepark contractor to build the park they contracted the work out within the community. The savings were astronomical and the park has been built to perfection. Freestyle Now went down to the Wagin Wool-o-Rama last weekend to host a bmx, skateboard and scooter coaching workshop. On a very hot Friday afternoon and evening the locals were stoked to be ripping it up with the Freestyle Now squad. It is always great to help out new riders and get them learning new skills. On the Saturday it was equally as hot as the Freestyle Now squad hit up a series of show performance along with some coaching session in between. At the end of the day there were many happy people who either had seen some awesome bmx and skateboard riding or learnt some new skills. If you’re traveling down south stop into Wagin and shred the park, it’s well worth it.

On Sunday the 4th March, the Freestyle Now bmx stunt squad gave the audience of the NBL Perth Wildcats v New Zealand Breakers basketball game more than a slam-dunk. With over 4000 people packing the Challenge Stadium they got to witness 4 minutes of pure radness from squad members Tim Rose, Dave Pinelli, Laurance Bakewell and Dylan Schmidt while Shaun Jarvis was on the mic. The Wildcats went down to the Breakers 101 to 99 in a fiery, physical and enthralling overtime thriller, but it was the halftime show that really raised the roof.

Tim Rose is just flat out awesome. One of the most stylish riders flowing around on a bike. Recently we found out that his birthday just so happens to coincide with one of the first Demos Freestyle Now had done. It’s a fair call to say that Tim Rose and Freestyle Now are about the same age. Tim sent through this video that he put together of day at the trails with fellow riders Sebbi and Rory. Get back to the origins of BMX and build some jumps. Enjoy.
On Sunday 26th February the Freestyle Now bmx stunt squad set up to perform some great entertaining stunt shows for the people in the park. An event run by the City of Gosnells to get the communities of the Thornlie area to gather and enjoy the parks and all that they have to offer and help improve awareness of community safety.

On Friday 17th February the official opening of the new Armadale skatepark took place. Freestyle Now was there on the day to help with the opening ceremonies. After all the formalities were done Freestyle Now hit up a short bmx and skate demo and then rounded out the afternoon with a fully packed coaching jam session. There were give-a-ways as well thanks to Stowaway distribution, 4 Skateboard co and Mutts scooters. The new skatepark is a plaza style set up with some stairs, ledges and banks and is fun to hit up. Check it out on Orchard Avenue in Armadale and get a fun session going.

It’s on today. 10 years in the making. Finally Armadale has got a new skatepark. The official opening is today. Taking place from 3:30pm till 5:30pm Freestyle Now squad members Phillip Marshall, Shaun Jarvis and Tim Rose will be there to hit up a quick demo and then after there will be a bit of a coaching jam for bmx, skateboards and scooters. Freestyle Now recently hooked up squad member Tim Rose with a new S&M frame and bars, thanks to our good friends at Stowaway. Tim got the new rig together and proceeded to do what Tim does well, went out and shredded hard. It’s only been a week since Tim has been back on his bike from a 6 week shoulder injury, it doesn’t show one little bit. Have a look at Tim’s profile page for some more info on the big guy.

Freestyle Now squad member Tim Rose came back from his American trip and the first thing he did was slam hard and injure his shoulder. Time heals many things and Tim is back and riding. On the weekend Tim went riding at his mates trails. Tim sent in this photo with these words attached,
“6 weeks after taking that big slam finally was able to ride my bike again, bloody missed it.”

“Hey all, after hitting trails for two weeks we packed up the jeep n headed south to Philadelphia. Weather had gotten pretty sour at this point, and we were able to witness some crazy mid October snow storm breaking a 32 year record or something!! After a quick look on Google we found FDR was a 4 km ride from our hotel, blessed with some amazing weather we spent a few days riding street in Philly. Kie’s good mate Tom White was pretty much our tour guide taking us around to some awesome spots. Once again we hit the road and made the 7 hour drive to Cleveland Ohio, hitting an indoor park named Rays MTB Park. This place is massive so many different things to ride you can get lost there, one of the locals showed us a room full of box jump rhythms that we hadn’t found yet. This is where our trip unfolded. Jake got a little loose on one of the lines there and got pitched over the bars straight into another bmx jump lip! Took a really hard slam! and got knocked out for over 1min and with his hand looking pretty bad, a trip the emergency room was made. A couple of hours and the news was surgery. We all decided making the trip back home was definitely going to be the better option. So we hauled ass back to New York. Not being able to get a flight straight away we spent the last days of our trip walking around the city checking out all the land marks. The place is absolutely massive and absolutely amazing! Was sad to leave, but we’ll be back next year. The trip was a blast, thanks to everyone who helped us out along the way”
