Australian’s Got Talent – Freestyle Now stunt show

twitterlinkedinmail

Freestyle Now took to the Australian’s Got Talent stage with pure raw freestyle energy.

Freestyle Now got to perform a stunt shows for Australia’s Got Talent auditions. We assembled a rad crew consisting of Freestyle Now squad members Shaun Jarvis and Luke Tooze along with Gonzalo Bellanti, Chris James, Matty Ceravolo, Zeth Bennett and Nathan Philps. The crew hit the AGT stage with pure raw freestyle energy. Filming of the show took place in Sydney at the end of June 2022 and unfortunately, we did not make it to the next round. There were many challenges around the set up on stage, difficult blind run up, challenging run off and a full change to the performance routine due to having to make the jump smaller, which was a challenge in itself to work that one out. We managed to run through the show routine only twice. Once on the set up outside which was perfect conditions and once on stage. Had we had more stage rehearsal time then who knows our performance might have been tighter. We rolled out the rad and made people stoked and motivated, we fulfilled what has been our main goal for the last 35 years. Big thanks to AGT for getting us on the show, we all had a blast. The on-air audition was cut up a bit and did not show the entire 8 minutes, but what was shown we are stoked on. Thanks to the team of performers we had, you all are rad.

Be sure to check out our performance which aired on Channel 7

Freestyle Now BMX stunt shows – Carine High School presentation

twitterlinkedinmail

Freestyle Now attended the Carine Senior High School for a full day of motivational presentations. The presentations focused on resilience, something all BMX riders will know. Achieving goals is challenging, you have to be focused. There are many hurdles and barriers that can slow you down from achieving your goals, be it with BMX tricks or just in life achievements. You need to know how to jump over the hurdles and push through the barriers. Throughout the course of the day Freestyle Now squad members Shaun Jarvis, Luke Tooze and Josh Garwood not only did some BMX stunt riding but also spoke of their personal barriers they had to overcome with injuries to keep on achieving their goal. Determination is what is required to achieve and each person has a different level of determination, but it’s their determination and they own it. Each person tackles achieving goals differently, and it’s how to go about pushing yourself to reach them goals that creates your resilience. All of these things BMX teaches you.

Freestyle Now performed BMX stunt shows at the National 4×4 outdoors show in Sydney. The BMX stunt shows were set up in a perfect location at the Sydney Showgrounds, right next to the main entry gate. Over the three days there was great attendance at the National 4×4 outdoors show and the Freestyle Now BMX stunt shows were a massive highlight. Freestyle Now squad members Shaun Jarvis and Luke Tooze were joined by Western Australian show veteran Dylan Schmidt and Sydney radster Josh Eaton. The shows were super rad with Sunday shows being the best as there were larger crowds attending and giving their energy back in a large way. Friday and Saturday were plagued by wet weather but Freestyle Now with the level of professionalism navigated the wet and still performed most of the scheduled shows. As normal the Freestyle Now BMX stunt shows were super awesome with some great BMX stunt show performances. Lots of posters were signed and handed out to many spectators which brought even more smiles on faces.

Freestyle Now BMX stunt shows – York road safety Day

twitterlinkedinmail

Freestyle Now headed out to beautiful York to be part of the RAC road safety day that the York Community Resource Centre had organised. Skatepark activation and BMX stunt shows were one of the key parts of the day. Local rock band Engine Eight took to the stage to also lay down some great rock music. It was a fanatic day. Such a great vibe. The crowds were small but the noise was loud. We like loud, it brings the hype and amps everyone up. The louder the crowds the bigger the show. Freestyle Now squad members Shaun Jarvis and Luke Tooze were joined by recruits squad members Taj Hamilton and Albie Livesley with two guest riders Ronan McCamish and Michael Pidgeon. Make sure you check out our coming events page to see where the next Freestyle Now bmx stunt shows will be going down. Shaun Jarvis April 2022 skatepark web play

twitterlinkedinmail

Freestyle co founder 53 year old Shaun Jarvis has put together another skatepark video from the month of April. During April Freestyle Now hosted many skatepark coaching sessions. Shaun’s plan was to get riding clips at each skatepark visited for coaching and any on the way that there was time to ride. With April being a super busy month some clips were filmed in a matter of minutes while others there was more time to plan a line and work through the run to achieve the best outcome. Shaun looks at skateparks in a different way to see what lines are able to be achieved with his current skill set and riding for the feel of the run. Taking different ideas to different locations give different outcomes of radness.

Gidgegannup Agricultural show 2021 – BMX stunt shows

“That show was fantastic, cant wait to see you perform again” Father of child in line getting an autographed Freestyle Now poster.

Freestyle Now once again returned to the Gidgegannup show to perform BMX stunt shows. Freestyle Now has performed at the Gidgegannup show many times over the past 35 years and the patrons of the show never let us down with their interaction. For the 2021 show the crowds surpassed all expectations by hyping up the Freestyle Now show riders. So it was good to be back and ready to roll out the rad for the crowds. The crowd interaction is just as important and the BMX show performance, the BMX stunt show performers feel the crowds energy which makes them energized and they end up sending bigger tricks or trying new tricks. Freestyle Now squad members Shaun JarvisJosh Garwood and Luke Tooze were also joined by Dylan Schmidt.

The triple backflip routine in a Freestyle Now stunt show is scary to watch, look how close Dylan is to Luke and Josh. There are no mistakes being made here. The BMX stunt performers know what they are doing, one slip up, someone is going to the dentist.

The day was perfect, no wind, sun was out and the crowds were loud. The performers were feeling the hype from the crowd and they ended up performing some of the most amazing BMX mid air stunts.
