On the 21st July Freestyle Now ventured into the far western parts of Queensland to host a skatepark competition in Mount Isa as part of the Mount Isa Mega Day Out. During the day the Mayor, Tony McGrady gave a opening event address and there was some great activities for the locals during the day. Freestyle now riders Shaun Jarvis, David Pinelli and new reserves member Billy Brooks threw down a few bmx demos and they also helped out the locals later in the afternoon with some skatepark coaching sessions. The local radsters in Mount Isa are progressing well with many riders learning heaps of new tricks and smashing out awesome lines within the skatepark. The day was mega for sure and fun was had by many. A big thanks to the City of Mt Isa as well as our supporters, supporters Stowaway distribution, Mutts scooters  and 4 skateboard Co.

Clockwise from top left – Ricky Peel entered both scooter and bmx but a snapped chain held him back in the bmx comp, he still threw down a rad opposite one and one footer over the spine in the scooter rounds – Kevin Moore is a new Mount Isa transplant and ripped the heck outta the skatepark, barspin allyoop 270 – Kyle Coleman smashed this hip both ways and did tuck no handers as well – Harley Steed has been ripping the Mount Isa skatepark for a few years now, turndown over the box.
