Squad member Phillip Marshall sent over this little report and some dope photos about his recent east coast trip.
I spent 2 days in the Gold Coast at the Element office/warehouse hanging out and getting some stuff sorted and getting a stack of new product. I did a photo shoot for their next Australian catalogue. Which was a lot of fun. I got to go out into the forest for a photo shoot and trying on a bunch of different clothes, catching up and meeting some nice people and picking out all the clothes I wanted for the year.
Then I went to Melbourne where I stayed at Will Hine’s place in Windsor for 2 weeks. Luckily it only rained 4 times while I was there, which is less than expected so I was able to get lots of skating done.
A couple days on and Perth homies, Quayde Baker, Ben McCormick and Mitch Cunningham come over to Melbs too. From then on it was basically ever day we spent trying to film, shoot, and travel to as many spots as possible to fit as much skating as we could into the 2 weeks that we were there for.
I must say there are too many spots in Melbourne to skate in 2 weeks or even a year, since there is constant construction going on there which means new spots pop up every now and then. To me it felt like a wonderland for skateboarding, I feel more productive and motivated over there and there is no doubt in my mind that ill be back again soon.
I must give a shout out to Krispy Kream, best donuts in the world!
Peace, Phil.
