Manjimup indoor build

Manjimup is a small town about 300kms south of Perth, Western Australia and it’s got a good tight bmx scene. Jeremy from EZ rider has secured a small indoor location in the town to build some ramps indoors for the winter months. Freestyle Now squad members Shaun Jarvis and Dylan Schmidt went down there over the weekend just past to help get the build underway. We caught up with Shaun Jarvis for some information on the deal.

The locals in Manjimup have been asking the council for a long time for an upgrade on their skatepark as it is rather below par. Instead of just sitting around bitching about things the locals are motivated to get their stuff rolling. Jeremy from EZ rider is really behind the locals to get what they are after. Jeremy sorted a used paint and panel shop for the location to have some indoor ramps set up. I said I would be keen to go down and help them build some ramps. Dudes down there want to ride so get some ramps build to get em riding, it’s that simple. Me and Dylan went down Friday night and got a start on Saturday morning and after a 13 hour day with a stack of locals helping out most of what we wanted to get done was done. Sunday morning and about 6 more hours building and cleaning up we were able to get a ride in. The set up is rad. The locals still have a few more ramps to build that will be added but as it now stands it’s a worthy spot to session. I was just stoked to help a local scene that is so proactive with bmx. Big props to Jeremy at EZ rider, locals Jon, Trevor and Jesse Potts for working hard over the weekend and to all the locals who helped out over the weekend building. I hope you guys have a stack of fun.
