EYRES Action Sports Games Mandurah

This weekend Mandurah will be the centre of action when the EYRES Action Sports Games takes place. Some of Australia’s best BMX and skateboard professionals will converge on the Mambo skatepark to compete at one of Australia’s largest professional multi action sports competitions and to take their share of the $20,000 in prize money.

Freestyle Now squad members Dylan Schmidt, Laurence Bakewell and Phillip Marshall will be riding in the competition and taking on other pro competitors from around Australia in the bmx and skate competition. Bmx riders set to compete in Mandurah include east coast riders Alex Hiam, Dean Anderson and Nathan Philps along with Perth riders Warren Bowers, Jacob De Abreu.
Mambo’s twin truck skate ambassador from Sydney, Brad McDermott will be going all out against pro skaters Kieran Reilly from Port Macquarie and Jack Duncombe from Melbourne. These world-class skaters will also take on Perth skaters including shredders Harry Clark and Barry Mansfield. Local shredder Joe Fleming will also be there to defend his current title on the vert ramp.
The competition takes place over the two days with a beginner’s competition for bmx, skate and scooter taking place on Saturday morning. The pro bmx park competition takes place on Saturday afternoon with the halfpipe battle jam taking place in the early evening. Sunday morning will see the pro skateboard park competition take place and the halfpipe battle jam in the afternoon.
Australia’s biggest Action Sports event will also include the Waterski & Wakeboard Federation (IWWF) World Cup with more than 150 of the world’s waterskiing and wakeboarding stars from 24 countries working their way through the competition to share in the $300,000 prize pool up for grabs.
The EYRES Action Sports Games coincides with the annual Channel Seven Crab Fest, adding more vibrancy and excitement to the City of Mandurah.
