Freestyle Now headed out to Kalgoorlie on ANZAC day to hit up the Kalgoorlie skatepark for a bmx, skateboard and scooter coaching jam session. Invited along was skateboard wiz Barry Mansfield. Along the way they guys called into Wundowie, a small town about 70 kms from Perth and saw a shocker of a skatepark. The park is a fine example of how not to build something.
The coaching jam session in Kalgoorlie had a really good turnout with a lot of new tricks being taught. Riders and skaters received prizes but the best thing was that much fun was had by all. The next day the squad headed to Merredin for another coaching jam session and once again the locals were stoked to be there. With a great participation level everyone really got into the session and learnt some new skills. Thanks go out to the City of Kalgoorlie Boulder, Shire of Merredin, Regional Development Australia Wheatbelt for supporting the skatepark locals and to Stowaway distribution, 4 skateboard co and Mutts scooters for product support.
