Freestyle Now bmx stunt show – Carnival Macabre festival Northbridge Piazza

The Freestyle Now bmx stunt show recently had the chance to perform some rad bmx stunt shows at the Carnival Macabre festival at the Northbridge Piazza as part of Halloween. The night time shows were large with Freestyle Now squad members Shaun Jarvis and Dylan Schmidt joined by reserve squad members Matt Adkins and Brady Thomas to roll out the rad. The squad members performed some entertaining bmx stunt shows for the large crowds. It was really cool to have a roving cameraman filming the shows to display on the big screen that is at the Northbridge Piazza.

The next day Freestyle Now changed up the set up and had a halfpipe to perform more stunt shows for the people at the Northbridge Piazza. These stunt shows has bmx, skateboard and scooter included in the entertainment for the people. Dylan Schmidt, Ben Thomas, Brendon Cross and Ben Weir had the task of rolling out the rad for the masses, they did not disappoint. Many rad tricks took place and the people were entertained. Freestyle Now bmx stunt shows – Narrogin agricultural show

The Freestyle Now bmx stunt show was recently at the Narrogin agricultural show to entertain the people with some great entertaining bmx stunt shows. The Narrogin show was a great day out for the family with all the good things you can expect from a country show. Squad members Shaun Jarvis  and Laurence Bakewell were joined by reserves squad member Brady Thomas  and guest rider Warren Bowers to roll out the rad. Freestyle Now bmx stunt show – Toodyay agricultural show

The Freestyle Now bmx stunt show returned to the Toodyay Agricultural show once again to entertain the people. The Toodyay show is a great day out for the family with it only a hour’s drive from Perth. On show day it was sweltering hot and the sun was burning many. The Freestyle Now bmx stunt show still went ahead and performed some great entertaining bmx stunt shows for the people. Squad members Shaun Jarvis  and Dylan Schmidt were joined by reserves squad members Matt Adkins and Brady Thomas to roll out the rad. So much good riding went down with some great tricks performed. Freestyle Now bmx stunt show – Northam agricultural show

The Freestyle Now bmx stunt show returned to the Northam Agricultural show once again to entertain the people. The lead up to the two day show was a wet one with rain forecast over the two day. Friday night was great with the rain staying away while Freestyle Now rolled out the rad with some great entertaining bmx stunt shows. Squad members Shaun Jarvis and David Pinelli were joined by reserves squad members Matt Adkins and Brady Thomas to perform some bmx stunts on the Friday night. Over night the rain came down, hard and heavy. Come Saturday morning it was still raining and doubt was cast on the ability for Freestyle Now to perform. After waiting till 1pm the ground dried up and it was show time. Freestyle Now squad members Shaun Jarvis and David Pinelli returned for day two and this time they were joined by fellow squad members Laurence Bakewell and Dylan Schmidt. After the 1st show of the day it was a check of the weather radar, the next shows was at 2pm and 3pm. Come 2pm it was show time but the dark clouds were approaching. The 2nd show for the day was all done and then without a break it was straight into the final 10 minute show for the day as the rain was coming towards Northam and coming fast. As soon as the 3rd show was done it was straight into pack up mode, with the PA system packed away 5 minutes after finishing the show the rain bucketed down. Its finally stopped long enough to pack away the ramp system. There was again some crazy riding taking place over the 2 day show. Thank you to the Northam show for once again organizing a great agricultural show, this one their 125th. Freestyle Now bmx stunt show – Rally Cross Brisbane

Freestyle Now recently performed some bmx stunt shows at the Brisbane Rally Cross event. Rally Cross is car racing done on a combination of dirt and asphalt over huge jumps with up to 10 cars competing at the same time. The Freestyle Now bmx stunt squad performed 8 days of  bmx stunt show at the 2014 Perth Royal Show. There was a crazy mix of riding taking place over the 8 days. The squad members got to hang out and enjoy the company of others as well as perform in front of thousands of people on the two jump ramps day and night. The crowds were excited and got loud every day for the  bmx stunt show. The Freestyle Now bmx stunt squad performed some radical bmx stunt show recently at the John Hughes slopestyle contest. The contest was one of the best Perth has seen in many years. Mountain bike and bmx riders hitting up a downhill jump course, it was rad to see. Most of the Freestyle Now squad were also competing in the competition. The Freestyle Now bmx stunt shows were also a highlight of the day with a large spectator turn out to witness the insane bmx stunt show that the squad members were all throwing down. In December 2014 the Freestyle Now bmx stunt squad performed some bmx stunt shows at Westfield Whitfords City shopping centre. In October of 2014 the Freestyle Now bmx stunt squad performed some bmx stunt shows at Westfield Carousel shopping centre. Freestyle Now squad members Shaun Jarvis, Dylan Schmidt, Laurence Bakewell and Matt Adkins took to the performance area for two shows a day over the four days. John Hughes Slopestyle – BMX jumping competition

The inaugural John Hughes Slopestyle hits the historic Edward Millen Reserve in East Victoria Park on Sunday 26th of April. The first event of its kind in Western Australia, the John Hughes Slopestyle is designed to bring the spectacle of mountain biking and BMX jumping ‘to the people’ in an urban environment. The John Hughes Slopestyle will feature several cycling events, with an Urban Downhill race, mountain bike Slopestyle and a BMX jump jam, all held on a crazy purpose built downhill jumping course. The course will challenge riders with a variety of imposing obstacles including a car jump, drop off a shipping container, jumping through a tree and several tall banked wall rides.
20 invited bmx riders from around Western Australia and beyond will partake in the BMX jumping competition with $1700 up for grabs, $1000 for first place. The BMX competition will no doubt be crazy, with the BMX competition set to take place between 2:30pm and 4:30pm. The Urban mountain bike events are taking place before and after the BMX jumping competition with the whole day kicking off at 12 noon. There will be a range of other attractions on site to entertain spectators and create a family-friendly festival atmosphere. The popular Thank God it’s Friday Hawkers Markets will be serving up a wide selection of good food at street prices, the Red Bull DJs will keep the beat, Crossfit 6100 will allow spectators to witness the fitness revolution with their crossfit demonstrations, Rock and Roll mountain biking will be providing free cycling skills clinics for children as well as the Freestyle Now’s BMX stunt show will be rolling out the rad for all to see.
Spectators are encouraged to cycle to the event, with valet bicycle parking offered by Crack Cycling for a gold-coin donation.
Town of Victoria Park Acting CEO Anthony Vuleta is looking forward to seeing riders and spectators alike flock to Edward Millen Reserve. “The John Hughes Slopestyle is such a unique and exciting event for Perth, and the Town of Victoria Park Community.We encourage everyone from teenagers to families to come down to the event and experience what ‘life in the park’ is all about.”
