Kalgoorlie skatepark hosted round 7 of the Freestyle Now Western Australian Skatepark Series. The new additions to the skatepark have been rolling for about a year now and the locals sure have made the most of it. Kalgoorlie now has one of the best skatepark in Western Australia, by far. What makes a good skatepark? It has got to have good flow, a good mix of ramps and obstacles be well built and also allowing multiple users without the risk of crossing paths for collisions. The older part of the park is about 12-13 years old now and the new additions have created a large park with good participant use. The new bowl is amazing and has endless flow. On competition day the locals made good use of the new park with many new users showing their skills advancement. There was a good mix of participants in the categories and spectators were good. It is great to see that with the new skatepark the scene in Kalgoorlie is still strong. Thank you to the City of Kalgoorlie Boulder and to our supporters Stowaway distribution, Sacrifice scooters and 4 skateboard Co for the support with prizes.
