The Armadale skatepark has been in use for about a year now. Freestyle Now has been working closely with the City of Armadale over the past few months with the Freestyle on Friday programme. Every Friday night the skatepark hosts a coaching session from 7pm till 10pm. Covering skateboard, scooters and bmx there is something for all to get involved with. The coaching programme is all part of a larger programme to engage the youth in the area in a positive environment. If you’re looking for something to on a Friday night hit up the Armadale skatepark.

On Sunday 28th October Freestyle Now hosted a small coaching session at Hillman thanks to the Hillman Community Association. It was a fun afternoon for all, it is good to see young crew so eager to rip.
If you’re looking for something to do on a Friday night head down to the Armadale skatepark to hang out with some of the Freestyle Now squad. The City of Armadale is running a programme through to the end of December at the skatepark from 7pm till 10pm. Come down and hang out and learn some new skills.
On the 16th of August was the official opening of the new skatepark in Pinjarra. Freestyle Now was there to host the opening celebrations with a coaching jam session. The opening celebrations were all thanks to the Shire of Murray, Alcoa, Lottery west, Department of Sport and Recreation, Royalties for Regions, Department of regional development and lands and to our supporters Stowaway distribution, Mutts scooters and 4 skateboard Co. for the product give-a-ways. Freestyle Now recently travelled out to Morawa, Western Australia for their Dardy Day Out. There was lots of different activities that people could get involved in during the day including a coaching jam session that Freestyle Now was hosting. The day was held at the Morawa School and as they don’t have a skatepark in town Freestyle Now took some of our portable ramps out there for the locals to get rad on. In June Freestyle Now headed to the North west towns of Port Hedland and Karratha to host some skatepark coaching sessions, competitions and most of all to have a heap of fun. With Freestyle Now squad members Shaun Jarvis, Billy Brooks and Phillip Marshall, the locals got to learn new tricks and skills, receive heaps of give-a-ways and they also had a heap of fun. Freestyle Now recently spent some time in Karratha to host some skatepark coaching sessions. Freestyle Now squad members Shaun Jarvis, Phillip Marshall and all round good guy Billy Brooks spent some time at the Dampier and Karatha skateparks to help some participants with new tricks and get them all stoked on skatepark activity.

Freestyle Now headed to Port Hedland at the end of June to host some skatepark coaching. On the Wednesday it was an invite only session at the Port Hedland skatepark while the Thursday session at the South Hedland skatepark was part of NADOC celebrations. Participants at both skateparks were able to interact with the Freestyle Now squad members and learn some new skills or advice on tricks they are already working on. There were lots of give-a-ways at the sessions thanks to our supporters Stowaway distribution, Mutts scooters and 4 skateboard Co. A big thank you to the Town of Port Hedland for getting behind the youth of the area and supporting such a great event.

In early May Freestyle Now went on a 10 day trip through the northwest of Australia with riders Dylan Schmidt, Shaun Jarvis, Laurence Bakewell and Billy Brooks. Our first stop was Port Hedland for a skatepark coaching session followed by some bmx stunt shows the next day at the Port Bound festival. From there with Laurence traveling back to Perth it was onward to Derby via Broome for another skatepark coaching session. With riding unique spots, sightseeing and general shenanigans the trip was straight up epic. The final destination before returning to Port Hedland to fly home was Eighty Mile Beach to watch a breath taking sunset. The below video tells it all, thanks to Billy. Enjoy.
The towns of Port Hedland and Derby in the far North West of Western Australia are going to be visited by the Freestyle Now squad over the early days of May.
The Freestyle Now bmx stunt squad will be at the Port Bound youth festival in Port Hedland (South Hedland) on the 5th of May to put on a awesome bmx stunt show for the festival patrons. Headliner band of the day will be Sugar Army with a stack of other activities and bands rocking out over the day. The day before on the Friday afternoon the 4th May, be sure to head to the South Hedland skatepark for a awesome afternoon of fun and give-a-ways as Freestyle Now hosts a coaching jam session. If you’re lucky you might get a chance to see the Freestyle Now squad hit up Broome for a day or two on their journey to the Kimberly town of Derby. Derbys Deadly Treadlys will be taking place on the 11th of May. The Freestyle Now squad will be there to host a coaching jam session at the Derby Skatepark.
