Round 12 of the Freestyle Now Western Australian Skatepark Series took place in Karratha at the Nichol West skatepark. There was a good turnout of competitors and spectators for late afternoon evening competition. There were a few familiar faces missing but it was good to see Nixon Osborne skating like he does. Margaret River skatepark competition – Round 11 Freestyle Now Western Australian Skatepark Series

Round 11 of the Freestyle Now Western Australian Skatepark Series took place at the Margaret River skatepark. There was a good turnout of competitors and spectator for afternoon competition, it was good to see many people sitting around the outside of the skatepark on chairs enjoying the competition. Margaret River has always had a good skateboard turnout and this time it was no different. With great number in the beginners, intermediate and open skateboard class it was good to see some awesome skating going down. A few competitors traveled down to Margaret River from Perth to compete, it’s good to see they are following the series around. There were also a few competitors from other south west town who also came to compete. Seeing familiar faces is always good as well as new faces who were there to roll out the rad. At all of the Freestyle Now skatepark competitions there are three classes for competitors to enter, beginners (younger and still learning), intermediates (competitors with some good skills) and the open class (consistent and dials tricks) in the three disciplines scooter, skateboard and bmx. There is also a girls class to help encourage more girls to enter. A big thank you to all the competitors who rolled out the rad at the Margaret River skatepark competition. Work has begun on having the Margaret River skatepark extended. The plans were on show at the competition and it looks like a great new plan. Maybe the next competition will be at the new extended skatepark.

It was awesome to see her skating and being proactive with some radness.

Freestyle Now bmx and skateboard stunt shows – Mandurah Crabfest – Raw video

Freestyle Now performed some bmx and skateboard stunt shows at the Mandurah Crabfest. We have compiled some of the video taken at the Mandurah Crabfest of the stunt shows and put it into one video for your viewing. Freestyle Now had a rad set up at the Mandurah Crabfest with the big halfpipe set up and the jump box right next to it. This allowed for some awesome transfers between the ramps. Freestyle Now squad members David Pinelli, Dylan Schmidt, Lee Kirkman and  Shaun Jarvis were joined by reserves squad members Matt Adkins and recruit member Jack Carwardine. Freestyle Now also invited skateboarders shredders Brendan Cross, Paul Bruno and Connor Harrington. It was two full days of rolling out the rad to the crowds at the Mandurah Crabfest. Freestyle Now performed some great entertaining bmx and skateboard stunt shows. Many rad tricks took place and the people were entertained. High Wycombe skatepark competition – Round 10 Freestyle Now Western Australian Skatepark Series

Round 10 of the Freestyle Now Western Australian Skatepark Series took place at the High Wycombe skatepark. The turn out was great considering the amount of rain that took place the day before and the morning showers. Brooms and blowers were out in full force to get the park to dry up, and dry up it did. There were many competitors rolling out the rad and the spectators were really getting into it with lots of encouragement applause. At all of the Freestyle Now skatepark competitions there are three classes for competitors to enter, beginners (younger and still learning), intermediates (competitors with some good skills) and the open class (consistent and dials tricks) in the three disciplines scooter, skateboard and bmx. There is also a girls class to help encourage more girls to enter. Toodyay skatepark competition – Round 9 Freestyle Now Western Australian Skatepark Series

Round 9 of the Freestyle Now Western Australian Skatepark Series took place at the Toodyay skatepark as part of the Moondyne festival. The competition was a small turn out with a few regulars making the trip from Perth to come and compete and visit the Moondyne festival. At all of the Freestyle Now skatepark competitions there are three classes for competitors to enter, beginners (younger and still learning), intermediates (competitors with some good skills) and the open class (consistent and dials tricks) in the three disciplines scooter, skateboard and bmx. Round 8 of the Freestyle Now Western Australian Skatepark Series took place at the Willetton skatepark. There was a good turnout of competitors and spectator for afternoon competition with a total of 63 competitors. Willetton has always had large numbers at the competition and this competition was no different. At all of the Freestyle Now skatepark competitions there are three classes for competitors to enter, beginners (younger and still learning), intermediates (competitors with some good skills) and the open class (consistent and dials tricks) in the three disciplines scooter, skateboard and bmx. There is also a girls class to help encourage more girls to enter. A big thank you to all the competitors who rolled out the rad at the Willetton skatepark competition. South Hedland skatepark competition – Round 5 Freestyle Now Western Australian Skatepark Series

Round 5 of the Freestyle Now Western Australian Skatepark Series went down at the South Hedland skatepark. The South Hedland skatepark is one of the biggest in Australia. It is massive with lines galore and sections that are so rad. Sometimes it can be like a video game and after riding it for some time you unlock new lines. Like they just magically appear in front of you. There was a good turnout of competitors for the skatepark competition. Freestyle Now were in Port Hedland for a few days before the skatepark competition to host a few skatepark coaching workshops, it’s always great to help with generation more skills to the skatepark users. Congratulation to Jacob Wise for competing in all three disciplines, scooter bmx and skate. We would also like to thank our supporters, Local BMXColony bmxSacrifice scootersEthereal Clothing and 4 skateboard Co as well as Town of Port Hedland.

Pinjarra skatepark competition – Round 4 Freestyle Now Western Australian Skatepark Series

Round 4 of the Freestyle Now Western Australian Skatepark Series went down at the Pinjarra skatepark situated just south of Perth. There was a good turnout of competitors and spectators for the skatepark competition. Some competitors made the small journey from Perth to attend, which is good as they are making the effort to follow the series and venture out to new locations. At all of the Freestyle Now skatepark competitions there are three classes for competitors to enter, beginners (younger and still learning), intermediates (competitors with some good skills) and the open class (consistent and dials tricks) in the three disciplines scooter, skateboard and bmx. There is also a girls class to help encourage more girls to enter and it was good to see some girls competing in Pinjarra.
