Freestyle Now – DownUnderGround round 2 video entry’s

Round 2 of DownUnderGround, the national bmx flatland contest series has just been completed and the results are in. The contest is a flatland video contest where flatland bmx riders from around Australia had to submit a unedited contest video between 1 and 2 minutes, just as if they were at the contest. Freestyle Now squad Paul Chamberlain took out the 1st place in the pro class, congratulations. Freestyle Now boss man and co founder Shaun Jarvis took out 3rd place in the advanced class. Both of these riders will be in Melbourne this weekend for round 3 – the finals of DownUnderGround and both riders are in contention to take out the year end title in their respective classes.

Kalgoolie skatepark competition – Round 17 Freestyle Now Western Australian Skatepark Series

Round 17 of the Freestyle Now Western Australian Skatepark Series was recently held at the Kalgoorlie skatepark with thanks to the City of Kalgoorlie Boulder. The skatepark in Kalgoorlie is one of the biggest in Western Australia and if you have not been there yet you need to make the trip. The City of Kalgoorlie Boulder really turned it up a notch for this competition with a heap of other activities and programs going on during the twilight competition. The locals of the area were super stoked with the competition and the next competition in Kalgoorlie is already being planned for April 2015. DownUnderGround – The Australian national bmx flatland contest series – round 3 the finals

DownUnderGround has been rolling since 2008. Freestyle Now is proud to have been supporting the contest series since then. This latest series, series six is now coming to an end and the finals are now set. Round 3 the finals of DownUnderGround, the Australian national bmx flatland contest series will take place at the famous Melbourne Imax spot in Melbourne on the 29th November. The contest is open to pro, advanced and basic riders with Colony bmx once again supporting the contest.

Willetton skatepark competition – Round 16 Freestyle Now Western Australian Skatepark Series

Round 16 of the Freestyle Now Western Australian Skatepark Series was recently held at the Willetton skatepark with thanks to the City of Canning. Willetton skatepark is now about 13 years old and it’s strange to think that half of the competitors at the competition were only just being born at the time the skatepark was under construction. The day was awesome with a really good turnout of spectators and competitors with some really good riding being thrown down. It is always good to see riders progressing from beginners to advanced and on this day there was quite a few doing just that. Thank you to our supporters Stowaway distribution, Sacrifice scooters and 4 skateboard Co and big thanks to the City of Canning.

Freestyle Now bmx stunt shows – Perth Royal Show day 7 and 8

The Freestyle Now bmx stunt squad were recently at the 2014 Perth Royal Show to perform some great entertaining bmx stunt shows. Over the 8 days of the Perth Royal show the squad of riders performed 16 bmx stunt shows, one show a day at lunch time and one show at night. The main arena of the Perth Royal Show came to life with controlled chaos as the Freestyle Now bmx stunt show threw down some amazing bmx stunts in conjunction with the ASP FMX team and Eljay motorbike trials team. It was just one large entertainment extravaganza. After 8 days the riders were a bit beat from all of the radness being unleashed but they were stoked to be able to perform in front of such large crowds every day. Singleton skatepark competition – Round 15 Freestyle Now Western Australian Skatepark Series

Round 15 of the Freestyle Now Western Australian Skatepark Series was recently held at the Singleton skatepark with thanks to the City of Rockingham. There was a really good turnout of spectators and participants for the competition. This competition was an intake for the Rocky’s Final Fest invite only competition that is scheduled to take place on the 18th of April 2015. The top 3 place getters in the advanced classes, skateboard, scooter and bmx all received an invite to this one off competition with a large prize purse. Thank you to our supporters Stowaway distribution, Sacrifice scooters and 4 skateboard Co and big thanks to the City of Rockingham.

Freestyle Now bmx stunt shows – Perth Royal Show day 5 and 6

Freestyle Now was once again at the Perth Royal Show performing some great entertaining bmx stunt shows. Teaming up with ASP FMX and Eljay entertainment, the Freestyle Now bmx stunt squad really threw down the radness and got the bmx stunts working for the large crowds. With a stunt show at lunch time with only one jump ramp and a stunt show in the evening with two jump ramps and 10 bmx riders the Perth Royal Show patrons truly were exposed to the amazing performances that Freestyle Now can put together for any venue and location. On night 6 the weather took a bit of a turn and the rain started to drizzle down, but the riders just wanted to keep riding. After the show Dylan Schmidt said, “They came for a show and we could not disappoint” it was crazy seeing the riders getting rad while you could see the light rain coming down. Freestyle Now Western Australian Skatepark Series – Skatepark Competitions

October will see 4 skatepark competitions take place in the Freestyle Now Western Australian Skatepark Series. To kick things off round 15 will take place at the Singleton skatepark on the 9th of October. This competition is an intake for the Rocky’s Final Fest invite only competition that is scheduled to take place on the 18th of April 2015. The top 3 place getters in the advanced classes, skateboard, scooter and bmx all receive an invite to this one off competition with a large prize purse. Willetton skatepark will host round 16 while the Kalgoorlie skatepark, one of Western Australia’s biggest will host round 17. On the 25th of October round 18 will take place at the Kwinana skatepark as part of the Kwinana Freakfest, a large youth orientated festival in the town of Kwinana. This competition is also an intake for the Rocky’s Final Fest. With all competitions that Freestyle Now hosts they are supports by Stowaway distribution, Sacrifice scooters and 4 skateboard Co. Freestyle Now is performing some really radical bmx stunt shows at the 2014 Perth Royal Show. Day three and four have been insane. The crowds have been large with day 3 attracting over 30000 spectators all witnessing the night time show. The Freestyle Now bmx stunt show is on in the main arena at lunch time and at 7pm every day whilst the Perth Royal Show is on. The day time show Freestyle Now has one jump box set up and the night time show there are two jumps and ten riders all hitting the big tricks and rolling out the radness.

Freestyle Now bmx stunt shows – Perth Royal Show day 1 and 2

The Freestyle Now bmx stunt squad are at the 2014 Perth Royal Show performing some great entertaining bmx stunt shows for the large crowds. With two shows a day one at 1:30pm and one at 7pm. On the first day the weather was not on our side with rain coming down so there was no lunch time show but the night time show the ten riders kicked it large. Day two rolled around and the sun was out for the lunchtime show and the Freestyle Now squad let the radness flow over just the one ramp set up on the main arena. The night time show was rad with ten riders hitting up some great bmx stunts over two jumps out on the main arena.
