Tim Rose – What’s been going on
Freestyle now squad member Tim Rose seems to have been lying low lately but that’s just because he has been flat out busy living. His latest loving life project has been the rebuild of his Harley that he acquired about 6 months ago. Along with this rebuild Tim seems to have had a rebirth in this riding style, kicking it with the streets. He is what Tim had to say,
Hey all been flat out busy playing around and rebuilding my Harley Davidson. Got it painted matt black and done some exhaust mods which led to it getting yellow stickered for being too “LOUD” haha all in good fun though. Also I’ve had a new lease in riding by taking my brakes off and putting on some pegs. It’s opened up a completely different feeling to riding, learning a bunch of rail stuff this is a whole lot harder than it looks. I’ve been riding with Kie while he has been back in Perth which as you know gets any one hyped. I’m looking forward to some international travel in a few months time and just getting hyped up on BMX .

Minnawarra festival revisited
The Freestyle Now bmx stunt squad were once again at the Minnawarra festival in Armadale back in March this year. The festival is great and the crowds are always very receptive. Matt Devlin was at the festival and took some photos of the squad in full action.

Rockingham Youth festival 2011
The Freestyle Now bmx stunt squad were at the 2011 Rockingham youth festival for a string of bmx stunt show performances on Saturday 9th April. The festival is always a good time with live music, activities and of course some awesome bmx stunt riding from Freestyle Now. Tempered Bikes rider Warren Bowers and good friend Rex Cubic, joined squad members Dylan Schmidt, Tim Rose and Andrew McDermott for some radical riding for the masses. Dylan had his video camera out and put together this short edit from the day’s radness.

This weekend coming Freestyle Now has you covered from just about every angle, demos, jams and comps
Friday 8th April Freestyle Now will be at the Belmont skatepark for some bmx demos as part of the City of Belmont youth event. Hit it up between 5:30 and 8:30 or if your super keen head down to Boyanup about 230kms south of Perth for round 5 of the FNWASS. Starting at 4:30 the comp should be done by 9:30. Remember that this is a drug and alcohol free event.
Saturday 9th April the Freestyle now bmx stunt squad will be in full effect at the Rockingham youth festival from 2pm till 8pm. Come down to watch some awesome bmx stunt riding that will make you shout out “yeeahhhhh” or if you are wanting to hit up some more comps then round 6 of the FNWASS will be at the Bridgetown skatepark. With regos kicking off at 10am the comp will run from about 11am till 4pm. But if you’re after a chilled out jam then head to the Katanning skatepark from 10am till 4pm. A chilled out event with some cool activities thanks to the Shire of Katanning. A stack of prize give-a-ways on the day as well. If your in the northern suburbs than head over to the Clarkson skatepark as they are having a comp go down there but be on the look out for mad Matt Reilly heading up some skateboard action and our favorite friend Brad Beven taking bmx to the people. If your after some trick tips ask these guys for some.
Sunday 10th April is more competition mode taking place with round 7 of the FNWASS heading to the Narrogin Skatepark.
So this weekend if full of stuff to hit up no matter what apparatus of radness you use. Get into it. To find out more info and locations check out the coming events page, seek and ye shall find.

Minnawarra festival 2011
The Freestyle Now bmx stunt squad was out in full force at the Minnawarra Festival that took place on Sunday 20th March. With five full bmx stunt shows to perform, there were plenty of people to entertain on the above average hot day. The crowds were great all day long with people coming and going throughout the day. It was good to get some great bmx action out there for people to witness. Squad member Andrew McDermott had some bad luck before the show got started and snapped his seat post off, resulting in him having to borrow Shaun Jarvis’s bike. Just like Andrew he got down to business and hit up some fantastic flatland tricks for the massive. Guest riders for the day were Mike Brandt ,Jake Greaves and Warren Bowers who all hit some great tricks over the day. A big thanks to all the spectators who helped make the day loud with their cheers and clapping activity. See you again next year at the Minnawarra Festival. all photos Clayton Schmidt

Corymbia festival 2011
The Freestyle Now bmx stunt squad were at the 2011 Corymbia festival on the 12th of March to entertain the festival goers with some awesome bmx stunt show performances. Squad members Tim Rose, Dylan Schmidt , Andrew McDermott and reserves rider David Pinelli were also joined by Tempered Bikes rider Warren Bowers for some heavy hitting aerial antics. The festival was a hoot with a stack of entertainment going on. Be sure to check your calendar next year and make sure you get on down.

Happy new year
As 2010 draws to a close freestyle now wishes everyone a happy and safe new coming year. 2011 looks to be a awesome year with new things always happening with Freestyle Now. Freestyle Now would like to thank all of the supporters and look forward to the New Year. Be on the lookout for new comps, demos, videos and awesome riding session going down. Pinjarra Christmas fair
Wednesday the 15th of December was the Pinjarra Christmas fair. The Freestyle Now bmx stunt squad were invited to come out and perform some bmx shows. With squad members Kie Ashworth, Shaun Jarvis, Tim Rose and Andrew McDermott present the shows were crankin and large. A big shout out to all the people who came up after the shows to talk to the riders.

On Sunday the 12th December the Freestyle Now bmx stunt squad were invited to do some stunt shows at a private Christmas carnival held at the Claremont showgrounds. The event was held for the families of the workers that belong to certain social clubs and groups. The day was a chilled out affair with the stunt squad throwing down some great show performances during the really hot day. Freestyle Now also invited Luke Snelling, Bradie Yeomans and Mr Royal Bmx, Ben Roberts to come down and enjoy the day.

To mix things up a bit the squad set up the small quarter ramp on the back of Tim’s flatbed, and then he preceded to foot jam the 5 centimetre deck
