Freestyle Now made an exciting return to the Melbourne 4×4 Outdoors Show for the third time, bringing our epic BMX stunt show to the bustling event. Over three action-packed days, the team wowed large and energetic crowds with gravity-defying tricks and flawless performances. Perfect weather conditions set the stage for a weekend filled with non-stop entertainment, as Freestyle Now once again showcased why they’re Australia’s premier BMX stunt show team.

The lineup featured Freestyle Now co-founder Shaun Jarvis alongside renowned riders Andrew Ahumada, Cooper Wilson, and Robin Meza. This event was particularly special, as it marked Robin Meza’s last show before heading back to Colombia. His dedication and impressive skills left a lasting impression on both the crowd and his fellow riders. Adding to the excitement was 6-year-old Arlo Ahumada, who joined the team on stage, creating unforgettable memories and captivating the audience with his enthusiasm and budding talent. Watching Arlo ride alongside these seasoned athletes was a core memory in the making for the young roadster.

Each performance was met with roaring applause from the crowd, as the riders delivered jaw-dropping stunts one after another. Shaun Jarvis held it all together as the show’s MC, engaging the audience and building the excitement throughout each performance. Freestyle Now Delivers Thrilling BMX and Scooter Stunt Shows at Craigieburn Festival!

Freestyle Now brought the excitement and adrenaline of action sports to the Craigieburn Festival in Melbourne with a series of breathtaking BMX and scooter stunt shows. The event showcased an incredible lineup of talent, featuring BMX riders Sam Grace, Brodie Quick, Andrew Ahumada, and scooter riders Billy Watts, Matt Ceravolo, along with Freestyle Now co-founder Shaun Jarvis. The Craigieburn Festival provided the perfect backdrop for these high-energy performances, with crowds eagerly gathering to witness the jaw-dropping stunts and intricate tricks performed by the Freestyle Now team. The BMX riders pushed the limits of what is possible on two wheels, delivering mind-blowing aerial maneuvers and gravity-defying flips that left the audience in awe.

Not to be outdone, the scooter riders brought their own brand of excitement to the festival. Billy Watts and Matt Ceravolo showcased their incredible skills with precision and flair, executing complex tricks and smooth transitions that had the crowd cheering for more. Shaun Jarvis, a veteran of the action sports scene, added his own unique style and experience to the mix, making for a truly unforgettable show. Sam Grace was fresh off his Australian BMX freestyle title win in the elite class, while Brodie Quick had just taken 2nd place at the Australian titles in the Amateur class. Additionally, young 6-year-old Arlo was invited into the performance for his first stunt show experience, adding a touch of future talent to the event.

Throughout the event, the interaction between the performers and the audience was electric. The more noise the crowd makes, the more hyped the riders get. The enthusiasm and energy of the crowd fueled the riders, inspiring them to push their limits and deliver even more spectacular stunts. International Riders Battle it Out at Freestyle Now BMX Flatland Comp at Rampfest

Freestyle Now recently hosted a BMX flatland competition at Rampfest, held during the Australian BMX Freestyle Skatepark National Championships in February 2024. Although the turnout was small, the competition had a vibrant international flair, with riders from Spain and Indonesia joining in on the action. It was a great opportunity to showcase flatland BMX to many park riders, a discipline that often flies under the radar but is packed with creativity and technical skill. The competition format followed a battle round system, with riders first participating in a qualifying round that determined their order in the finals. Despite the smaller numbers, the energy was high, and the riders brought their best tricks and combos to the floor. Taking first place was Spain’s Gonzalo Belianti, whose smooth style and innovative tricks left the judges and crowd in awe. Fellow Spaniard, Inigo, claimed second place with an equally impressive performance. Australia’s Grant Cruse took home third, putting in a solid effort throughout the competition. Indonesian riders Bagus and Lukman made their mark as well, finishing in fourth and sixth, respectively. Freestyle Now’s own Shaun Jarvis rounded out the competition in fifth place, bringing his years of experience and unique flow to the Rampfest crowd.

A massive thank you to all the riders for competing and helping to bring flatland BMX into the spotlight. Though the turnout may have been small, the passion and skill on display were undeniable. Freestyle Now, Australia’s leading action sports entertainment company, turned up the heat at the Australian Open with an adrenaline-pumping BMX and skateboard stunt show. Despite the typical Melbourne weather of sunshine and rain, Freestyle Now entertained the large number of spectators who  gathered to witness the BMX and skateboard show. The atmosphere was electric. We had an amazing squad there to entertain the massive crowds with Australian BMX legend Andrew Ahumada and the Colombian giant Robin Meza both hitting up the jump ramp and Australian BMX flatland champion Gonzalo Bellanti on the stage with some crazy spinning styles as well as Melbourne top skateboarder Hamed Anvari who made his skateboard move in the most crazy way. On the mic and the bike was Shaun Jarvis who brought the hype and energized the crowd, Despite the tight setup, we made the most of our resources, utilizing our flipper kicker BMX jump in front of the small stage and seizing the opportunity to showcase the artistry of BMX flatland on the main stage. The result was a visually stunning spectacle that captivated the audience from start to finish.

The Australian Open provided the perfect platform for Freestyle Now to showcase our passion for action sports and connect with fans of all ages with mind-bending tricks and flawless execution, leaving spectators in awe. We had an enthusiastic response from the crowd, with cheers and applause echoing throughout the venue. It was a testament to the enduring appeal of action sports and the excitement they bring to audiences worldwide.

DownUnderGround – The Australian BMX flatland national championships 2023 – Celebrating 15 Years of BMX Flatland Excellence

DownUnderGround 2023 marked a milestone year for BMX flatland enthusiasts, as riders from across Australia and beyond converged for the 15th edition of this iconic competition held in Melbourne. Despite challenging weather conditions, the event proved to be one of the best yet, showcasing the resilience and passion of the BMX community. Amidst the unpredictable weather, riders found refuge in a small dry spot at the IMAX, where they showcased their skills and creativity. The confined space added an electrifying energy to the atmosphere, fueling the excitement and intensity of the competition. While some riders grappled with adapting to the limited space, others thrived, demonstrating their versatility and adaptability on the flatland. The event featured a diverse array of riding styles, highlighting the rich tapestry of talent within the BMX community. One of the standout moments of the competition was the participation of Gonzalo Bellanti, the reigning 2022 Australian BMX flatland champion, who joined the event live from Japan via video. His presence added a surreal and unforgettable dimension to the competition, showcasing the global reach and dedication to BMX flatland. The success of DownUnderGround 2023 would not have been possible without the support and dedication of everyone involved. The stellar lineup featured Freestyle Now co-founder and leader, Shaun Jarvis, a trailblazer in the BMX world known for his precision and distinctive style. Joining him were seasoned professional Andrew Ahumada, renowned for pushing the boundaries with his technical expertise, and the heavy hitter Sam Grace, whose fearless approach to tricks always steals the show. Adding an international flair to the ensemble was the Colombian giant, Robin Meza, whose precision tailwhips and bar spins left an indelible mark on the Cobram crowd. The picturesque setting of the Cobram Agricultural Show provided the perfect canvas for Freestyle Now’s BMX mastery. Freestyle Now Delivers Thrilling BMX Stunt Show at Flamefest in Benalla, Victoria

The crowds were large at the Benalla Flamefest and got super loud especially for this backflip by Cooper Wilson.

Freestyle Now, Australia’s premier BMX stunt show team, brought the heat to Flamefest in Benalla, Victoria, with an unforgettable  BMX stunt show that defied the wet and muddy conditions. The event featured a stellar lineup of BMX riders, including the remarkable  Shaun Jarvis, the reigning Victorian BMX freestyle champion Cooper Wilson, Columbian BMX sensation Robin Meza, and the legendary Andrew Ahumada. In the days leading up to Flamefest there was lots of rain which made the ground conditions at the Benalla racing track very soft and muddy.  But despite the challenging conditions Freestyle Now’s BMX riders were determined to deliver an electrifying performance. With muddy ramps and no rain but wet grounds, the stage was set for a unique and thrilling show that would leave the crowd in awe.

Shaun Jarvis, known for his precision and style, led the charge, performing some  crazy balancing trick on the top of the ramp. One slip would result in a long drop to the ground, with slippery surfaces the level of danger was intensified. Cooper Wilson, the reigning champion, showcased his exceptional riding skills and fearlessness in the face of adversity, even collecting some mud in his eye that flung off his front wheel in the mid air. Columbian BMX rider Robin Meza added an international flair to the show with his unique style, and BMX legend Andrew Ahumada demonstrated his unmatched expertise in challenging conditions. The enthusiastic crowd at Flamefest braved the muddy and cold conditions to witness the heart-pounding performance. Their energy and excitement were noticeable, providing the perfect backdrop for the riders to push their limits and wow the audience with their daring feats. In addition to the BMX stunt show, Flamefest also featured a captivating fire show that added to the overall spectacle of the event along with some great food trucks. The combination of fire and BMX stunts created a sensory experience that left a lasting impression on all who attended.

Freestyle Now BMX Stunt Show Shines Through Rain at St Kilda FlameFest in Victoria

Freestyle Now, Australia’s leading BMX stunt show, brought a torrent of excitement to the St Kilda Flamefest in Victoria. The two-day event was ignited by the breathtaking performances from our professional BMX stunt riders. Leading the squad at flamefest was the remarkable Shaun Jarvis, known for his precision and style but also brought his incredible mic skills to the show and hyped up the crowd. Shaun knows how to get the crowd hyped which was proven once again at flamefest. Victorian state BMX freestyle champion Cooper Willson’s went super high and showed his exceptional riding skills, earning applause for his impressive feats like his massive 360’s. Adding an international flair to the show it was great to have Colombian BMX rider Robin Meza with his dynamic riding style and massive Indian airs. Robin also has claimed the record for 6 bar spins over the jump, in the wet, 3 onto the top of the ramp, 1 on top of the ramp and 2 dropping into the landing. Incredible skill. BMX legend Andrew Ahumada rounded out the list of performers displaying his unmatched expertise and fearless riding.

As well as Freestyle Now’s awesome BMX riders, Flamefest also hosted some great fire shows and fire cannons drawing the crowd to witness fire breathers and performers. These fire performers played a jaw-dropping part in the stunt show as they performed fire tricks while riders flipped and jumped over them and the fire with no fear. The St Kilda Flamefest, despite the challenging weather, provided the perfect canvas for Freestyle Now’s BMX stunt show. Even as the rain fell, spectators gathered to witness the spectacle. The combination of high-flying maneuvers, technical skill, and unwavering determination created a performance that captured the spirit of resilience and determination. The crowd’s engagement with the show was sensational as the louder the crowd got, the bigger the tricks were.

Larger tricks were limited but Freestyle Now still delivered a fantastic performance proving no matter the conditions, Freestyle Now BMX riders will always give it their all and adapt to the conditions to deliver a great show. Freestyle Now is honored to have participated in the St Kilda Flamefest, demonstrating the power of action sports to thrive in adverse conditions. Freestyle Now, Australia’s premier BMX stunt show team, delivered heart-stopping BMX stunt shows that captivated audiences at the esteemed Australian Formula One event in Melbourne. With an exceptional lineup of riders, including Shaun Jarvis, Andrew Ahumada, Sam Grace, and Cooper Wilson, Freestyle Now showcased the pinnacle of action sports entertainment, leaving spectators in awe.
